I find the concept of trust interesting. It’s one of those things that we can’t live without, but we need it to progress forward. 

Some say it’s a skill we pick up, as we experience life and others say you are born with it – but either way, we experience it at some point in our lives, and it has the potential to influence us positively or negatively.

Some optimists believe you have to give trust to get trust. Their way of earning trust is to give it out first; that way, you inspire others to trust you back. 

To them, it’s supposed to happen naturally, while others would rather keep all the cards facing down and not give a shred of trust until they receive it first.

At some point, we have all been one of those two people. When we were younger, before we knew better, trust was something that came naturally; you believed everything you were told and with everyone being older than you, you didn’t have any reason not to trust or believe them. 

As a novice mind, we just assumed the world worked the way we see it in black and white.

While some people are sheltered from the cruelties of the world, not everyone is so lucky; some go through the most veil situations and have a harder time working with people. They grow up with guarded emotions and reserved personalities. 

Trust doesn’t come easily to them, and they have lived most of their lives in that state.

Then there is most of the youth today or just the youth in general; they have found a way to make living a life of no trust in anyone and anything another fashionable trait. 

While it is true that the world we live in today is certainly not always righteous and virtuous, it would have failed to work without any trust.

Trust is the glue that keeps everything and everyone going. If only we cared to notice how much trust we put in others and events outside of our control, we would view the world differently. 

It won’t always be returned as you give it and there will always be a few bad apples looking to take advantage of others, but always trust that everything will work out just fine. It always will.
