Heita, Mwadziwana promise fireworks

At their last face-off press conference held in the capital ahead of tomorrow’s mega showdown, Namibia’s super bantamweight champion Matheus ‘The Beast’ Heita and Zimbabwe’s veteran pugilist Tinashe Mwadziwana both promised to leave no stone unturned in their quest for glory.

The pugilists will be the main actors in the Together As One Part 5 Boxing Bonanza at the Kuisebmond Community Hall at the coastal town of Walvis Bay. MTC Nestor Sunshine Promotions is promoting the event.

They will square off for the vacant WBA Pan-African Super Bantamweight title, which Heita claims counts among the missing steps to his staircase to global dominance, and thus a victory remains his only option.

But Mwadziwana, on the other hand, is a man on a mission, and says the only thing standing between him and his dream of becoming a continental champion is Heita – a man he promised to thoroughly punish come tomorrow.

With both fighters having their eyes firmly fixed on the strap, fans should look forward to nothing but a crackerjack affair. Their bout will be supported by Sebastianus Natanael, who will exchange leather with Steven ‘Cake’ Bagwasi of Botswana in an international featherweight 10-rounder.

Another fight on the night will see Max Ipinge and Tinashe Zihove going toe-to-toe in the super middleweight division over six rounds.

Tickets to the event, which will also see many other youngsters in action on the night, are selling for N$20 for children, N$50 for adults and N$200 at ringside. Tickets are available at Webtickets outlets countrywide at all Pick ‘n Pay stores.
