How celebs paid homage to their fathers

As the world celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday, numerous celebrities took some time out of their busy schedules to gush about their dads, husbands and baby daddies on social media.

Singer and medical doctor, Chikune, penned a heartfelt message to her husband, reflecting on how he has always been there for her even during her academic endeavours. She said when she was at school for over two years, her husband became both father and mother to their bundle of joy.

“Happy Father’s day to the most wonderful man I have ever known...many don’t know this but I was absent from home for more than two years because of school and at times my music career...he had to be both mommy and daddy for our little one. He had to feed him, bathe him and take care of the little one when he got sick. All while holding my shoes and bag when we had Chiku business, providing for his family, and maintaining that six-pack.... Again Happy Father’s Day to my hero, my zaddy and king, JJ. Proverbs 20:7 indeed. Happy Father’s Day to all the real men out there.”

Nelaolange, who is Sunny Boy’s baby mama, also celebrated her baby daddy by writing: “We carry them for nine months and they come out looking like their fathers. Siyakuthanda baba! Happy Father’s Day. @sunny_boy_global.”

Sunny Boy’s son, Malik, also celebrated him with a sweet message paying homage to him, “I love you more than anything in the world. Happy Father’s Day daddy.”

Gazza also shared pictures of his father with the caption “My hero, my superman.”

DJ Kiki shared a heartfelt message showing love to his late father, “Losing dad in such a horrifying trauma. Burying him the following week, celebrating his birthday the next day and Father’s Day after - was and still is such a traumatic event for me. Not sure if I’ll ever heal through it. Happy second Father’s Day in heaven papa. Justice shall prevail.”

Maria Nepembe celebrated her late father by writing: “Never really got to know you but I hope you are watching over us, handsome.”

Ruberto Scholtz also celebrated his dad by writing: “Today, I wished I could wake up with my father around, take him out, get him the best suit and spoil him! To hold him one time, give him the greatest hug and just thank him for everything! I miss you, dear daddy! To everyone that still has the privilege of having their fathers around, appreciate and give them all the love. Happy Father’s Day, daddy.”
