To make the bi-annual Kasi Vibe Festival better and more inclusive, the team has decided to include younger business-oriented entrepreneurs.

This is in light of the upcoming 10th edition of the festival, scheduled to take place at the Sam Nujoma Stadium from 28 to 31 July 2022.

The team has set itself a task to continuously meet and surpass prospects through innovative ideas and the delivery of excellent service.

“This time around, we are involving the kidprenuers and teenagers to the event, where on 30 July we will have a Kasi Vibe Future corner within the event. Here, potential exhibitors under the age of 17 will be allowed to showcase their ideas and businesses for free. They just need to reach out to the Kasi Vibe team before 28 June 2022,” detailed the festival’s spokesperson Salmi Shiguedha.

She said they aim to groom these young entrepreneurs while it is still early, because they are out there – and all they need is exposure and for someone to listen to their ideas.

“So, we want to mentor them into the entrepreneurs that they are.”

Due to school commitments, interested teenpreneurs will only be allowed to showcase their products and services on a Saturday.

“We have thoroughly thought this through. We will strictly pay close attention to ideas that are being shared with us. We know people might take the advantage of transferring their ideas to their children for free marketing, but we have strategies in place,” Shiguedha told VIBEZ!

What gave the team the idea to consider young entrepreneurs is when a potential teenpreneur queried on the application process, only to come across the news that one is required to submit ID information, which she did not have.

Kasi Vibe Namibia’s goal is to provide an opportunity for local entrepreneurs to meet, demonstrate and share their talents, goods, services and products, thereby promoting SME development in Namibia.

The popular event gives young entrepreneurs a platform to promote their products, put their services out there and make revenue.

It also presents an opportunity to network with the possibility of getting investors.

For the main event, entrepreneurs, aged 18 to 35, are urged to apply for stalls.
