In the Rugby Premier League match on Saturday, Wanderers Rugby Club defeated Kudu Rugby Club 35–25 at the Wanderers Sports Grounds in Windhoek.

These are the second matches since the beginning of the season.

Match day also included a clash between the clubs’ second teams with Wanderers 2 claiming another 28–13 win against Kudus 2.

Head coach of Wanderers, Dirk Human, in a post-match interview, said that he was having mixed emotions about the match since Kudus are already in third place on the log table and Wanderers in eighth place.

However, he added that he was impressed with their performance, despite their first match against Unam when the league started.

“We made a big step up in this match coming from the loss against Unam. Kudus have always been a big rival against Wanderers season to season. They always want a fight, and this time they brought it to our home ground and got defeated,” Human said.

Human added that he cannot wait to see his club go head-to-head against Western Suburbs on 6 April, the club that is just above them in the seventh position on the log standings.

“We will take it week by week because every match is important to us. We will concentrate on Western Suburbs from now on and take it from there again,’’ he said.

After their unexpected defeat by Wanderers, Kudus on their social media page expressed gratitude to their supporters who showed up in numbers.
